Anticipation

I’m not quite sure where today’s gone, it was dark before I knew it and I hadn’t taken any photos. So here’s an emergency blip of a couple of books which came in the post yesterday.

I had read about the bottom one, Wavewalker, on blipper Rainette’s blog after she went to a book signing by the author at Somerville College, Oxford. It sounded really interesting, so I looked the author up and discovered that she had written another book, "What does Jeremy think?" in collaboration with her late husband, Jeremy Heywood, before he died. He was a top civil servant who served four prime ministers. It’s just the kind of book that Smithers will enjoy reading when his sight improves. So I ordered both books and am looking forward to setting aside time to read hopefully at least one, if not both, in the coming weeks.
