Notes: Wonderful day. Slept pretty well, woke not-too-early, went for a jog in the chilly temps before 7a. Got over near the park and there were lights everywhere! Ended up doing the whole run thru the park a couple times and it just felt like I entered a magical space - was beautiful and amazing! Got the turkey cooking in the crock pot when I returned. Took a shower, made coffee and watched some pre-parade coverage and then had the parade on all morning. Heard from Ellen (from the gallery) ~840a that she wanted to come visit for awhile (I invited her last night). I got in motion to organize, de-clutter and clean a bit. The place ended up looking better than I can remember! She arrived around noon. We chatted and watched some football and ate around 130-2p: arugula pear walnut salad w/ pom seeds, turkey breast (came out good!), sweet potato, cauliflower mash, shredded balsamic brussels sprouts and spaghetti squash. And then healthy pumpkin pie w/ coco whipped cream (made this morning). Was a really nice day and so great to have someone to share it with this year! Really good conversation and sharing as well. Ellen left around 4p. I relaxed and had the 430p game on and then caught up on some videos. Chilly all day even tho bright sun and stayed nice and cool inside - and very low humidity so really feels like fall! All the lights and rides set up in the park for about a week now finally came to life tonight so grabbed a pic of the ferris wheel actually running w/ people on it! Want to go back over to the park in the next couple mornings and try to get some pics ... which won't be able to do it justice! A really good day!
