Gingerbread Festival

My first stop today was at a Gingerbread Festival. This is my favorite entry and it also won first prize in the competition. There were other events around town, but they were geared for kids so this was the only thing I attended.
I continued on to Mahone Bay to the Father Christmas Festival. It was a sunny but cold walk around the town. There were not as many displays as previous years and not many people around for the opening weekend.
I continued on to Bridgewater to stop at a farm market and have some lunch at Arby's before returning home.
One of the 2 bridges across the harbor is closed for construction this weekend so I had to go thru Bedford in both directions. This morning the traffic was not bad. This afternoon it took me 20 minutes to go the same distance, that on a good day takes me 5 minutes.
It will be interesting getting back and forth to brunch tomorrow, since brunch is in Halifax.
