It had to be done.

This morning we explored the Civic District including the National Gallery, the Old Parliament building , Sir Stamford Raffles statue and then headed off to his hotel and The Long Bar for the infamous Original Singapore Sling. The peanuts are plentiful and one is encouraged to throw the shells on the floor. Despite it being a tourist trap we were treated impeccably and not rushed through. The cocktail was delicious too!
After that we wandered down to Chinatown , the Sri Mariamman ( Morher Goddess ) Hindu temple and the Buddhist Tooth Temple , so ornate before lunch at Noodle Man. By which time it was pouring!
