Bronze Beacon

We had our second frosty night of the season. Despite the lack of bright light, the landscape looked beautiful - from the cosiness of the house.

I’ve mentioned the bronze colour of the oak trees in my blips a few times recently. We’ve quite a number of mature oak trees in the hedgerows here. Although magnificent all year, I find them especially beautiful in autumn and on days like today when their leaves shine out cheerfully across the grey fields.

I spent an enjoyable hour at the allotment today. I was digging beds in the new plot for raspberry and strawberry plants which I plan to plant out in a few weeks (once I have collected them from a local nursery).

Gratefuls:
- Crepes with homegrown blueberries for breakfast after our walk.
- The robin who kept me company whilst I dug in the drizzle at the allotment.
- My sister being in touch to catch up and share some of her day.
