A trip to Yuma would not be the same without a visit to Martha's Gardens. A family business started in 1990 has grown to over 130 acres of desert land providing the most delicious Medjool dates that money can buy. 

My brother and I enjoyed a late lunch on this beautiful day. They offer a made to order meal from the counter and a relaxing place to enjoy it. 

The Rogers family business grows, packs and sells its own products plus some other delights like jalapeno date jam and prickly pear cactus jelly. Tours of the date garden are available. 

It's beginning to cool off overnight. We had to pull on an extra blanket last night. Soon, windows will be closed at dark as we begin to ease into winter on the desert.
