Archie and I cleared out of the way this morning - JR was having a day at home (after the gym, of course!) doing housework, but mainly getting the Christmas decorations out.
As we walked aimlessly down the crescent, a bus happened to come along, so we hopped on it, with no plan as to where to go. We hopped off and walked down the High Street. Christmas carols by a bagpiper... no comment. The Milkman cafe (both of them) was mobbed. Actually, every single place was mobbed. We walked along by the Christmas Market, but down a level, and so we were well out of the shamozzle.
Oh look, a number 9 bus in two minutes! I knew there was no way I could catch it, not in these crowded pavements. So we just walked, and I saw it stuck at the lights... yes, we might make it! And we did, because there was quite a queue to get on it.
I felt guilty that Archie hadn't walked enough. Or sniffed enough. Or piddled enough. So we got off at the Meadows and walked through that way. We briefly joined the queue for a coffee at the caravan, but it was very slow moving, so we gave up. better (cheaper) to have one at home. I have been flat out on the sofa ever since. (5,863 steps).
This hat was a 'fence find' not a bin find. He wanted to try it on.
