Welsh poppies

Very quiet day today, very still and humid.

I think these are the yellow Welsh poppies that soletrader and photogen were discussing two days ago. They appeared on my driveway about two years ago, seeding themselves between the crazy paving stones. Like soletrader, I usually leave them where they seed as they do add a lot of colour, especially this year when everything is so late.

These plants are now fading, but there are others that are just coming in to flower, so they will brighten up the garden for some time.
