And the winners ...
E and P from the intercambio organised a treasure hunt this morning. We gathered in the square for coffee, split into teams of three or four, and were handed eleven more or less cryptic clues in English and Spanish. S, J and I had an amusing time gadding about town, and our combined knowledge of Almuñecar (plus Google) proved quite effective. We were back in the square half an hour before our deadline of 1 o'clock, to find we'd been beaten to it by J's son B's team. We were sure they'd have knocked it out of the park due to B's Google/ChatGPT skills.
However it turned out they didn't have as many right answers as we did, and we were in a dead heat for first with another team. But since we finished before they did, we got an extra point making us the winners! So here we are proudly bedecked with our pretzel medals. Most of us then stayed on for lunch at one of the restaurants in the square. It was a fun and convivial morning in the fresh air -- we eventually tore ourselves away at 3 pm.
While S was in the UK he bought himself a new Fitbit, which means I rather reluctantly inherited his old one. Today was a good workout -- we did a decent 6.5 km just walking round town. And then flopped for the rest of the afternoon when we got home.
I backblipped yesterday -- includes a musical link which I found after C, who was also at the concert, told me the name of Saturday's violinist. Oh -- and I liberated some extras, so there's a gratuitous sunset in the extra box today.
