Belgium
Famous for beer, chips, chocolate, waffles and Tintin.....apparently! We have spent a very cold and damp day in Dinant ...famous (as we discovered today) as the birth place of Adolphe Sax (inventor of the saxophone), home of Leffe beer and a copper mine from 12th to 17th C.
A wander, a beer stop then crepes and hot chocolate. We loved the patisserie/ chocolatier in the same family since 1860 - making marzipans which looked so realistically like fruit and veg....also very like chips :))
Extra: huge colourful saxaphones everywhere, roads and restaurants all with 'sax' name!
