Season's First

Nothing quite like a juicy ripe British strawberry, especially in the latter half of June - can Wimbledon tennis fortnight be far behind!

These, of the well established Elsanta variety and first of the new season, were grown in Ledbury, Herefordshire by George Leeds of Withers Fruit Farm, Wellington Heath.

Look out for his new variety, Sweet Eve, due to go on sale shortly in Waitrose, Tesco and Marks and Spencer - apparently they are sweeter and more fragrant than any other - can't wait till they hit the shelves.
