The Linn Of Dee

The road from Braemar to Mar Lodge Estate is full of interesting photo opportunities. There is much to interest artists as well.

The road follows the southern bank of what is the beginnings of the River Dee and terminates at the car park of this National Nature Reserve. The National Trust for Scotland own the Estate.

Today’s entry is taken from the bridge crossing the River Dee.
This is one place to avoid falling over into the raging torrents.

Apparently, someone did exactly that and survived. Luckily he had two friends who caught him further down stream using a canvas net.

The extremely lucky but soggy man told Pat all about his escapade.

The police, fire and ambulances scattered around did give credence to the story.
