Sooz

I think the late night on Thursday, a little bit of stress on Friday, and the late night last night took a toll . But, I was up for the next of my meal tests.  Today they still involve rice and bacon, but at least it was both of them, which is more pleasant than the last two breakfasts I’ve had but I was tired from the start.

We spent the morning and the first part of the afternoon watching the first episode of the new series of Doctor Who: the one where David Tennant returns as the doctor and Catherine Tate as Donna. I really enjoyed it and it was quite interesting to see how they played it after the 15 years away. I enjoyed it so much that we immediately went back and watched it with the cast commentary overlaid on the programme. That made the whole thing really interesting. Keeping with the theme, we went back to watch the last episode of Jodie Whittaker’s time as The Doctor so that we could see the regeneration into David Tennant.  We had a fun afternoon of Doctor Who which was nice as I haven't seen it for years.

I was a little bit dozy after all that television and sort of nodded off on the sofa for an hour. Then just before 6pm we headed into town. We had planned to go and see the Christmas market on the Southbank and take a walk along by the river.  When we arrived, we found there were only a few stalls and we were finished much sooner than we thought. We decided we'd then try the Christmas stalls in Leicester Square for a little bit and they were more varied, but much busier. The festive spirit is definitely coming to central London.

We then walked to our favourite Sunday evening venue at The Crazy Coqs.  Tonight, it was “The Crazy Coqs Presents: Sooz Of The World:  ‘Sooz Kempner Live in Cabaret’.  Sooz is a comedian who also has a fantastic singing voice and we were treated both comedy and song over the course of couple of hours.
