FAMILY OUTING

This family of geese were out for a swim on a local pond. They are used to people stopping with bread, etc. to feed them, so when they spied me taking pictures, they started over my way. Unfortunately for them, I hadn't planned for any treats.

The babies are teenagers now, and their feathers are beginning to take on the pattern of the adults. Their new 'chin strap' is clearly visible.

I blipped early today because I was concerned about the date showing correctly. My computer mistakenly 'put' this download in a 6/16/2013 folder - but they were all definitely taken on Monday, the 17th. In double-checking the date on my camera, I found it is set properly. I was worried that the computer date might be what Blip recognized. Thankfully, it's the camera date that verifies the picture. (I don't know what the problem is with the computer.) Whew!
