Today's the day ........................ to think of absent friends

Lovely to have Great Spotted Woodpeckers back on the peanuts/fat balls - and both Mr and Mrs have been making a daily appearance to brighten our day.  There's also been a nuthatch making his presence felt.

The one friendly, feathery face that we're missing though, is Mr Pheasant.  We haven't seen him (or either of his two wives) since they all cleared off in the early spring - presumably to bring more pheasants into the world.  We're rather concerned that something might have gone awry.

And goodness knows how we're going to break the news to Grandson, Dominic, when he's here over Christmas ........................?
