Movie night
It's been snowing all day long. And we already woke up to a pile of snow.
I had two separate jobs today and then some snow shoveling so it's been quite busy day.
The movie was quite cute, but J-M thought it was boring. It was the only one running that was spoken in Finnish, so it was the only choice for him. But at least it was something else to do, something different for him in his every-day-life.
I feel sad that it wasn't that great experiment for him. I was bored too. I entertained myself by first trying to identify if the movie was originally from Norway or Denmark. I was looking at the buildings and the people and all these clues that I could find. It was old times, perhaps the 50's or even earlier, so the clothes didn't give any hints. As soon as I saw the Christmas tree with the Norwegian flags, it was game over. Mystery was solved. I was leaning more to Norway, but I could not be sure before the flags.
It's quite amazing how similar the Norwegian Christmas looked compared to the Finnish one. Some same traditions and foods. Very familiar to me.
I really like this picture that I took from the movie entrance. It kind of holds in the magic of the movies.
