What was my mum thinking?

This is me around the age of 7 or 8. I remember the dress well, my party dress for weddings, birthdays, etc. It was the 70's so this one dress probably lasted me for 2 years worth of occasions. This is my mum's idea of a fancy dress outfit, she pinned tinsel to it and told me that I was a Christmas tree !!!

Following on from yesterday's John Lewis saga, my husband emailed them to see what had gone wrong and it looks like most of the problems were caused by the email address being taken down wrong over the phone. Very annoying as I heard my husband clearly spell it out when he placed the order, (he name is Antony, no H, so he always spells it out). They have said that when the money that they blocked has cleared at the bank we are welcome to order from them again, no chance of that happening !!!
I went to a local shop today and have managed to get exactly the same camera bundle for £50 cheaper than John Lewis were doing it for, so it's all worked out in the end :)
