Sunset With Swifts

It was the hottest day of the year here so far. 30.8°C in our office. And significantly warmer in the room where we had a three hour meeting this afternoon. I drank 2 litres of water in those 3 hours. German offices do not, as a rule, have air-conditioning. It was very, very sticky.

After the meeting there was quite a bit to do which meant I didn't leave the office until well after 6. And when I did, it was still roasting. I broke with my routine and took the bus into town. And despite only a 10 minute walk home, I was drenched by the time I got here. Unsurprising when it was over 40°C on the terrace.

Bus journies not being a source of Blip material for me, I waited in the hope of a spectacular sunset. I tried and failed to blip the swifts that are around, until I took this. Worked out miles better than I thought. Probably better in large.

It's meant to be hotter tomorrow. And then hotter again on Wednesday. Better make sure I take lots of water.
