Tannenzapfen

Or pine cone.

It was a day & a half at work. The only questions I was asked were all of the "At The Moment I Don't Know But I'll Find Out For You" variety. It doesn't take much to knock my confidence and having to say "I don't know" so often, takes it right out of me.

At lunchtime, I was feeling shittier than I have ever done here. Really.

However. You know that saying "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right"? I sided with the "I think I can" option and by golly, I could and did. I may not be the speediest solver of problems but I can solve them.

That lifted the mood a fair bit.

These pine cones caught my eye on the way home tonight because they are almost completely flat as you look at them. Almost as if they grew pushed up against the wall. Look a bit like machine parts to me.

For those not interested in World Cup News from Germany you can stop reading here.

The German team won last night. Entertaining game (unless you were called Pepe or indeed wanted to see Portugal win) and I can't believe how long people drove around for after. I recall falling asleep to the sound of car horns. Woke up very tired.
