Home from the sea

Fishing boats tie up at Constitution Dock in Hobart. In the background is Mures seafood restaurant, a Hobart institution. We had an excellent meal there last night, with a view to the dock - extra.

The dock was completed in 1850. The name refers to the granting of self-government to the colony by the UK Parliament. The colony was then known as Van Dieman’s Land. One of the first things the new local parliament did was change that to Tasmania.
