Happy Birthday
The main purpose of this trip was to celebrate Mrs P's birthday with her family which was today, and we have had several celebration already, so why not some more and I've added a few extras this time. We left the cabin in the woods and first visited Sun Mountain Lodge in the daylight this time, then Lake Patterson which was looking gorgeous reflecting the landscape. On our journey we had to stop for big horned sheep who had crossed the road, boy they were big! We took a different way back than the way we came which was over the Snoqualmie Pass... the longest hill climb I've driven up and the longest hill descent I've driven down. At the top the trees were glistening with the snow, it was an interesting drive.
Made it back to Seattle in time to go out to the light show at the zoo.... we only saw the penguins but the paths were lit up with many illuminated designs, and Mrs P had to put on her wings.
Off downtown then for a meal in the Pink Door, an Italian restaurant overlooking the bay. A fun evening but back to base to pack for our next destination. Blips running a bit late...
