DAY 2 - SIGHTSEEING

We got a 2 day tour bus ticket (if you know me you know how much I love a tour bus!!) we had a great trip around Prague.
#The architecture is amazing. It is a very clean city.
##we got off at Prague castle…had a cuppa and our sneaky pastries we’d purchased earlier. The cathedral was magnificent…the windows were so bright.
#The Rev persuaded me I was able to climb 300 steps to the top of the tower.
#the views over Prague were amazing. It was such a lovely clear day. When we got down. Clair and Linda had found the Starbucks with equally great views. (A GREAT TIP FOR ANYONE THINKING OF VISITING)
The weather forecast was for snow so we decided to do the river cruise this afternoon.
The walk from the bus stop to the dock was a long way and Clair found it really tricky but we did it!
# we enjoyed a hot toddy (or 2) on the boat.
The timing was perfect as the lights were coming on as we came back along the river.
#The Rev and I had a titanic moment:)))) luckily the boat didn’t sink in the River Vltava.
We then walked up to the main square. Although we had come a week too early for the Christmas markets, the square was being transformed. We checked out the restaurant and were persuaded to try a new one. The menu and prices were the same as downstairs….but they weren’t. It was way out of our price range and there was no vegetarian option despite him saying there was!!! We braved it and decided to leave!!! We were still charged £8 for a bottle of water. However the restaurant was in the room where Einstein discussed his Theory of Relativity!!
#we went downstairs to the open cafe with blankets and heaters and enjoyed a fabulous meal and a cocktail.
We were definitely glad to be back at the apartment at 7pm for a film and cheese!!!!
