Yosemite

So day 1, after pancakes we were off out to decide where to explore but hadn't planned on the early morning mist evaporating as the sun popped over the mountains... it was surreal walking through it, vapour coming out of tree trunks and branches. 

After we pulled ourselves away from that, we continued the valley loop and stopped where we last visited 7 years ago (the 2nd extra here) and it was exactly as it was back then when Mrs C just walked straight into the river and began swimming while we watched on. Even the crocodile log was still there. 

Finally we got round to the main centre to decide what to do, and it was the Mirror Lake loop. Despite the rain and snow the night before, the river was lower than last time. We didn't do the loop last time so explored further this time deep into the valley and our hike was about 7 miles.

Until today, my memories had been that it just felt perfect 7 years ago and we hoped we could get close to that this time. Today was just fab and we had much more time for it to soak in, just a gorgeous place, I could live here for ever.
