Parera-mallard hybrid

The second facial stripe is one indicator, and the other is the grey beak . As the speculum seems absent, I wonder if this one is transitioning to be a drake.

I've put up as an extra one result of Mr H's labour this morning. He dug a hole on the other side of the driveway to where the almost completely broken old wooden letterbox is located. He mixed some concrete, and put that in and then recommended leaving it for a couple of days before putting the letterbox on top of the flat plate.
