Tonight's sunset did not send sparks through the sky, but the last light on the gardenias was certainly lovely. The fragrance of the blossoms was delicious too.
We went back to ER today because the doctor told me a week ago to come back in 7 days. That would have been yesterday, but my finger is tender enough that I didn't want anyone touching it yesterday. So today we went to see the ER doctor. He took one look at my wounded finger with the eleven sutures and said, "Hey, why don't you come back in 3 days and we'll remove those." I was just fine with that instruction.
He asked me what I had been doing to help the finger and I said I had been putting Vitamin E on it. He immediately said that would cause worse scarring. He told me to put Aloe Vera on it, not Vitamin E. So I stopped in the pharmacy to purchase some; then applied it and I think he's crazy. It burns and stings and I think is turning the skin crispy. So I am now back to applying Vitamin E. So this ordeal continues for a few more days.
We had dinner with our one and only daughter this evening. In many ways things are very upside down in her life currently. She is an adult and our advice is not what she's seeking. I think she just wants to spend time with us and for that we are thankful.
Good night from Southern California.
