Driven round the bend
by the poxitude of the weather I was.
The morning was grey, grey, cold misery. Then it started drizzling. Cold, nasty drizzle. Which turned to cold, nasty rain.
By 3pm I had sort of come to terms with the fact that there'd be no swim today.
I lit a turf fire in the chimney and was about to start a new series on Netflix when, lo and behold, some strange brightness appeared in the sky.
It looked like we were going to be treated to a bit of a sunny spell.
I thought I'd chance a cycle to the Vico and was pleasantly surprised to find the place deserted.
It is so rare these days. I had the place to myself and suddenly the swimming togs seemed obsolete.
