Deception Island

I'm now back on land having had 2 days of very pleasant sailing through 
the 'Drake Passage'. It was rather like the mediterranean with calm blue waters and sunshine. I can now catch up on blips with the normal blip editor and add some extras!  This day was spent exploring Deception Island. We had a landing at Whalers Bay which was full of interesting old buidlings and artefacts .Later  we were lucky to be amongst only 5 passengers taken out on a photo cruise around the island with the on board photographer. We managed to get very close to the iceberg in the extras which had some penguins sliding around on top of it. I managed to capture one as it lost its footing and twisted itself around so by the time it hit the water it was in a normal diving position. I loved the many shapes the icebergs made and their amazingly blue colours.
