Garden goldie
My regular catch-up this morning with my old school friends was saddened by the fact that one of our group could not attend as they were having the vet out to put down their dog. He had cancer and they just felt it was time to avoid any suffering. RIP Trevor :((
Went to order the turkey from the butchers as my Dad used to do it, but didn’t realise it was closed on Mondays!
Popped in to see Mum on my way home as she wasn’t too good again yesterday after steadily improving over the past couple of days. She had started taking the calcium tablets again that had been prescribed for osteopenia and then stopped again last night as she’d started to feel ill and unstable again. It’s way too much of a coincidence for it not to be caused by these tablets as this is the second time she’s felt like this since taking them for a day or two.
She managed to get a phone appointment with a doctor today(a minor miracle in itself on a Monday) and after telling the doctor the tale, she agreed with my Mum and just said she would change her tablets! No face to face appointment or any other theories or any tests, so we’ll just have to hope that it’s just that and nothing more serious. I’m not impressed at all…not the best day at all. Just a goldfinch on the feeder as it wasn’t a day for going out again after lunch.
