Seattle Vacation: Day 4 …

… Deception Pass.

Now if you thought yesterday was full wait until you hear about today’s adventures!

We were up and out of the hotel by 9:00 am heading for Deception Pass State Park … which is way up north almost to Canada.  And to get there you have to take the Mukilteo Ferry to Whidbey Island and drive up from there.  How fun!

We made a few stops along the way and didn’t get to Deception Pass SP until 3:00 pm.  It wasn’t a clear day by any means but I think the fog only adds to the atmosphere.   From Deception Pass SP we drove up and around and then headed south towards Issaquah.  It was a long day of driving but we had a lovely day. I even put my foot in the ocean at one of our stops (Fort Ebey State Park) before getting the Deception Pass SP.  And we saw a chipmunk!

We stopped somewhere along the way for dinner before stopping at Marymoor Park to check it out.  We will be having a blipmeet here on tomorrow with johnsmiley1321 and wanted to be able to find it okay.  The park is lovely and will be perfect for our blipmeet … which I’m so looking forward to.

We were back to the hotel a little bit before 8:00 pm and settled in for the night.
