Shopping Trip

Today we went on a trip to Southampton. The mission to visit the Apple store to get my phone assessed (it’s been having a few battery issues), to get new pillows from John Lewis and go to Ikea for meatballs and to get some new household accessories.

It was a wet gloomy day so it felt a good day to be in the shops. I’m not keen on the over heating and general over stimulation of big shopping centre environments but all went well and we had a successful and enjoyable trip.

Merlin did well too. He stayed at home and a dog walker friend popped in to take him out for a nice long walk. Then he rested until we got back. We got a big welcome from him when we returned and then he got on with the important job of inspecting the shopping and ripping up unwanted packaging!

- For Merlin’s patience in waiting at home and being well behaved.
- For the hope my phone may now last longer (thanks to Andy’s research rather than help from Apple).
