Winter Cheer
It felt grey and rather miserable this morning but a brisk walk in the fresh air helped to get me going.
The stream in the village is running fast. It takes several weeks for the rainwater to percolate through the South Downs and reach us.
Despite the damp and dark, the village is starting to look cheerful with its festive decorations.
Grateful for:
- Festive lights to cheer my way as I walked in the village after dark this evening.
- Pancakes with lemon and sugar for dessert tonight.
- A beautiful and thoughtful Christmas card arriving from my sister.
