A Pause for Lunch

Today was market day in Lenno. This was the big general produce market. It was a much larger market than I expected, and there was pretty much everything available, fruit and vegetables, household items, cheese, clothing.

After a wander around the market it was definitely time for lunch, mozzarella and tomatoes and a glass of water with some wine. We were lunching at a bar next to a small jetty, we saw quite a few boats pull up to the jetty. Wife (and children if any) would come ashore while husband drifted around in the gulf. Later the wife would return with the shopping, husband and boat come back to the jetty to collect them, then they all go off with the shopping done at the market. Quite a nice way of doing the shopping I thought.
