A day to gladden the heart…

and raise the spirits. For the first time in days the sun came out drawing a mist from the landscape and creating reflections and shadows in its low angled lights.

Yesterday’s gloom hasn’t disappeared, it’s made it less overbearing, at least for a while. News from the hospital was in one way reassuring and in another expected. Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. You’re a wonderful lot on blip.

On such a glorious day we took the car to the other side of town, walking, as you can see, along the River Medway into the town centre to conduct some financial transactions and, of course, have coffee and lunch.

Afterwards there was a bit of shopping, a visit to the hospital to leave a few treats for Doreen. Then it was the long and slow crawl home through the late afternoon rush. (why is it called rush? It’s the one thing you’re not doing)

It’s raining now.
