I was faffing on the computer when a message came through from No.2 asking me where I bought the last lot of cat food from?  I had a quick look on google and found a bargain and before he could say 'whiskers' I had placed an order to be delivered on Friday.  Don't you just love internet shopping!

Today was the golf club Christmas lunch - the highlight of the Christmas social calendar - sorry, hold on, the only event in the Christmas social calendar (unless you count Xmas eve drinks at S&M which has ever diminishing numbers attending?  It was a good lunch and OH won a prize - I was driving so he had a good time and a long snooze in front of the fire when we got home.

No.2 did some sewing while we were out and the machine was playing up and tension up the wall - so much unpicking followed but we sat and chatted and listened to Jake's playlist and the time flew by.

(Jake's playlist - he is a work colleague of No.1 and ever since her diagnosis last year has been uploading music to a playlist on Spotify, adding around 15 tracks each week.  He has done this every week for over a year and the music is sublime and varied and eclectic and she is very touched by his unfailing dedication - what a top bloke!)
