There and back again

That was, as many will recognise, the title of the book by Bilbo Baggins about his journeys, and therefore the sub-title of "The Hobbit".

It does however well describe today when a group of us from the Glen decided  to see if we could go to Dunoon for at leat part of the day - going here  and back by pubic transport, given the need to use such facilities a bit more and private cars a bit less. 

The timings are a bit restrictive, but we did manage it .  We left the house around 10.00 and  now that the temporary bridge is in place we were back just after two, with a good two hours available at the destination for anything we needed to do - or for  an early lunch (which is what we did ) though as my extra picture shows, the weather was a bit dreich.  .
