A Christmas miracle!
Andrew was a great help to David again this morning getting the new Christmas tree in from the garage and holding it in place whilst he got it secured into position. Thankfully the trunk of this one is straight. The netting was cut off to reveal a perfect tree. Not as tall as in previous years but beautiful. D watered it and left it to acclimatise while we had lunch.
Alan and Andrew watched another Christmas film then it was time for D to take Andrew to Dundee to meet up with his mum. He made sure we had dates in the diary for his next visit before he left :-)
After dinner D and I headed to the living room to get the tree decorated. As is tradition we had a Christmas tipple each (it's the law ;-)) and Christmas music playing.
D went to the kitchen to get scissors to trim the top of the tree and returned announcing that Alan wanted to join us in the living room to see the tree being decorated. This hasn't happened for many years. He likes his own living room and his own Christmas decs and likes us to sit in his living room, so I thought he'd come through for a few minutes then want back to his own space, but nope, he was there for the duration and we had a lovely time and lots of laughs. He wasn't that impressed with the Bublé Christmas songs though :D
I took this pano shot to get both Alan and his dad in the same pic. Unfortunately David was moving at the time so he's now got three (well two and a half! :-) legs! Hahahahahahahaha! I asked Alan if he would spend some time through here in our living room on Christmas Day and he said yes. Watch this space! :-)
