Lunch in Chelsea

Our friend L, the most warm, glamorous, funny person I know gives a lunch for her lady friends every December.  I appreciate this doesn’t look like Chelsea but we were in a room behind her husband’s beautiful shop in Garrison Square.  Everything was lovely, everyone was glamorous or famous or both.  We ate tiny portions and drank champagne. A little as I was driving.

It should have been a lovely treat but was marred by the train strike so I drove up (3 hours) and back (4 hours) and I’m never driving to London again.  I left the car at Westfield which is a bargain-ous £8.50 but the drive, the traffic, the weather, the sat nav with the A3 in a mess,  I tried another route and got locked into the side streets of Godalming. Really!

I also had to pull over and talk insurance and travel with Rory who now leaves on Saturday.
