One of the joys, complete joys, of Cuba is the way they have cared for and treasured the old cars.

We were stunned to see the first and even more stunned to realise that classic American cars make up about half of the vehicles on the roads.

They gleam, they transport everything, they break down, they get fixed, they carry excited tourists round the city.
