Christmas Scene…

… We met old friends today for lunch at a nice hotel, where these pretty decorations set the tone.

Much laughter ensued throughout an excellent meal.
A perfect antidote to the previous stresses of the week.

I really should ease into Christmas card writing mode now… Probably tomorrow.
I do love it when they start to arrive with peoples news of the year. (Not so much the round-robinny kind, where Crispin’s grades were utterly amazing again, but more the warm notes from dear friends).

Last year we tested positive for Covid from 17th -28th Dec and kind of missed a lot. This year, we’re ready to join in the fun!

(Fortunately I read the wine forecast very early today, and by about 1pm it was proving to be extremely accurate).
