Keeping with the theme

Walked Indie in glorious sunshine, lots of squidging & sloshing about.Rang Jean mid walk, no gardening required today so quickly rang Mum and suggested we went to look for a birdtable. Trago mills closest. The queue for petrol was quite rediculous. I'm not sure of the price but they try to undercut everyone. That was THE only queue. Walked into the store, not one customer at a checkout. This place would be heaving in the past, so where are all the customers shopping. Mum kept mentioning how much stock they had everywhere. The plant centre looking sadly neglected. Birdtables ranged from £60 upwards ... Back to Ken, the local guy in Chudleigh. I did find a Mahonia ' Soft Caress' which I first came across in Jeans garden so bought one. Grabbed some veggies from the fruit & veg stall on site, including pickling onions.
Back to Mum's, Danish, coffee & phone calls. I managed to book a boiler service, (message reminder on boiler). Messaged Katrina to change Mum's nail appointment.  Prepared veggies to go with Mum's evening meal plus instructions for baking the en croute, then time to go home.
Back home rang dentist, changed my 6 monthly check up. Hubby's US guided shoulder injections are on the 20th, not only our wedding anniversary, but everything else booked for that day. Typical!
Messaged Ken, ordered a free standing birdtable. £20 plus materials. Ready in two days.
Lunch, then sorted John's medical correspondence, getting it into some semblance of order. Should make life easier for me if it is'nt "tampered" with.

Last night's baked vegan paella was delicious. Subbed paella rice for arborio, did'nt bother with meat. Loads left so had it again for dinner tonight. Will definately being making it again. The recipe was from olivemagazine.com. I'm on their mailing list, no subscription, so get a monthly mail, the recipes are always interesting.
Made a batch of oat cookies, & poached a pack of blackcurrants while the oven was on tonight.
