Blue
Fab blue sky but rather chilly.
I did laundry at home, & pegged it out to swirl around on the whirly gig.
Drove down to CK. Indie had found the chicken bones wrapped in tinfoil been in the waste bin. Grhh! Mum did'nt realise. Shower morning.. Getting the hang of it now, so have a routine. Indie had very kindly thrown up the chicken bones on the carpet in the hallway. Grhh!..... & breathe.
Got a load of laundry done & out on Mum's whirly gig. Making her breakfast (late) when her brother rang from Cornwall. He can talk the hind leg off a donkey so I left them to it & took Indie out for a bimble. I had my fur lined trapper hat on this morning & glad of it.
Cut Mum's nails on my return... I know. I know it's unlucky to cut your nails on Sunday but fortunately Mum does'nt know it's Sunday, & Grandma's not with us any more.
"We" opened the Lindt advent calendar for today.
Spotted a couple of cards on the sideboard. So the £2.50 postage paid to release a letter for post from the Royal Mail was for a birthday card from my cousin & family. She had used a stamp "No Longer valid for postage" . It does'nt surprise me.. Uncle Phil bought cheap picture postcards & sent them when on holiday, the card did'nt relate to the place they were visiting. Family are weird!!
I made Mum's lunch trialling a Cook frozen meal, Lambs liver with onion & bacon. While waiting for that to cook Mum & I began a Zen design each. I overheard the local news. A Cornish farmer lost 9 cattle electrocuted by a power line that came down on them while sheltering under a hedge from Storm Darragh. The farmer was obviously very upset while being interviewed, & added that only 2 weeks ago he lost 32 in-calf Jersey cattle which had to be destroyed due to TB. I felt his pain. In the same news bulletin, winds of 96miles per hours recorded at Berry head, Brixham.
While Mum had her lunch I picked in her laundry & put it on the airer.. Virtually dry so that was a result.
Back home, made lunch. Made up the bed, then dropped hubby to the pub. Filled his med box for the week coming.
Got a bag of frozen plot gooseberries ready to poach when the oven is on plus prepped a couple of apples for baking. Easy dinner tonight. The other half of the pasty traybake, & baked apple for pud. The gooseberries will be my breakfast topping for the next week.

Strictly results... I'm not looking forward to tonight's verdict. All the contestants have made incredible progress, some obviously have some for if dance in their background, others not. Each there because they deserve to be. Fingers crossed my 2 favs will be in next week's dance off.
