On her own!
Many thanks for your kind comments on yesterday’s blip.
Not the most exciting photo today but there is a bit of a story behind it.
Last week, the lake at Strichen Park was almost totally frozen over apart from a small area in the middle.
On Thursday, the two adult swans decided to fly away and the young one tried to follow.
However, she didn’t manage to clear the trees and became stuck.
The SSPCA and the fire brigade were called and they managed to rescue her. She was uninjured but kept in a warm place overnight before being released back at the lake yesterday.
Here she is at the unfrozen lake this morning but no sign of her
parents. I hope she makes it.
