Scotland Tour - Day 7

Day seven, the trip to Kintyre.

Decided to head down through Dingwall and Beauly, then overland to Drumnadrochit so we could avoid the roadworks on the Kessock Bridge.

Lunch was at Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness. We then had a run down the Great Glen to Fort William and on down the Coast to Oban. Stopping at Connel Bridge to see the Falls of Lora where Loch Etive empties into the sea twice a day.

Not at their best as the reach of the tide was quite small but I think we might come back another time.

We had dinner at Oban and then headed down to the Crinan at the West end of the Crinan Canal that cuts the Kintyre Peninsula off from the mainland. This is where we found the old pickup truck.

Then we followed the Canal to the East end in Ardrishaig where we stopped for the weekend.
