We went to see this at Cineworld this afternoon. Conor was not keen, he thought it would be too generic, too derivative! "What if I don't enjoy it?" he asked. As it scored 7.5 on IMDB we knew it must be good, and it was fantastic! It's a musical that features the two key songs from the 1973 Gene Wilder version - Pure Imagination and the Umpa Lumpa song. And Timothy Chalomée is brilliant. Conor admitted he enjoyed it and was glad we went, although he said he prefers to watch movies at home. (It was very hot in the cinema).

Later he requested to watch Doctor Who Unleashed that goes behind the scenes. A clear indication that he is now a fan. Then we watched the Strictly Results show, the last of the series where we saw Annabel and Johannes leave and not make the final next week.
