Instead of getting ready to go out for a walk.

Today was going to be Conor's first day back at school after having a week off with a cough and cold. However he just could not get to sleep last night and was still awake after Mum and Dad went to bed. On waking it was clear that not only would it be really mean to send him in, he would be in no state to take anything in or to make any sort of effort.

Part of the reason he couldn't get to sleep will have been that we didn't go for a walk yesterday as it was raining. The main goal this afternoon then was to get Conor out for a long walk. We did the Zoar Loop.

Dad had a long chat with Grandma on FaceTime in the evening. She is feeling better now after having a bad cold for the last five days.
