Rose Hips

In my garden hedge on the bank is a rambling rose and these are the runners from the root stock the rose was grafted onto.  They grow prolifically and I am forever cutting them down but I just had to let the hips show themselves in all their glory, interspersed  - with bramble and honeysuckle!

Quiet day at home struggling with writing Christmas cards and trying to cut them down in number  but it is so difficult - who do you leave out - those I send to all live out of area.  R and E called by with a card. They used to live up the road and then moved to Sherborne some years ago where they are very happy.  It is good to keep in touch.
