Day #5 Salento

Today we left Bogota and took an Avianta flight to Pereira, the heart of one of Colombia's coffee districts, located in the central Andes mountain range.  We took a bus and transferred to jeeps to arrive at the coffee farm where we  witnessed the steps in growing coffee beans.  

After lunch we took the bus to Salento, saw the roasting process (relatively new in Colombia) and enjoyed coffee at the cafe of the farm owner. 

We are staying the next two nights in Salento, a very attractive small town in the mountains.  At the town square, I spotted these kids in the jeep and asked if I could take their picture.  I thought there were only 3, but when the others seated in the back realized that there was photo opportunity, they all popped up for the group shot.  Who they were I don't know.
