A tiny bit of processed food...

I saw this crow flying around with what looked to be a small mammal in its beak. Later, it perched on a neighbouring roof to examine it carefully, and I could see it was a bit of processed meat - ham, probably.

It clearly wasn't sure whether it should be eaten or not, and eventually flew off with it, perhaps to show it to the seagulls who aren't as fussy about eating processed food.

A happy catch before the rain poured down, bringing to an end any thought of a morning walk. Not that I was particularly eager to go out - yesterday's exertions are still causing me a wee wince here and there...

As for the afternoon, well I'm 1,600 words in to responding to the latest absurdly burdensome planning application, prior to this evening's council meeting. Not that I anticipate them making any difference at all.

In other news I'm embarrassed to watch our so-called government play out their Alice in Wonderland theatre, declaring a thing is so because they say it is. Gulliver would find C21st Britain quite unbelievable, I'm sure.
