Magpie Inkcap (coprinopsis piccata)
Leaving the builders to it again, we headed off to Westonbirt.
As the midwinter season progresses, Westonbirt goes a bit theatrical, with evening lightshows (which we mostly avoid). This does however mean that in the hours before sunset the woodlands are far quieter than normal, and one can get a feel for the peace of the forest.
Janet spotted this chappie, which I've decided is probably a magpie inkcap. Winter trees capes can be a little bare and uninspiring, so I was happy to get this blip.
