River of Flowers

By doffy

Wednesday: Dusk

Rain overnight, wind moved to northeasterly, outside temperature around 7°C - the clouds broke and I went out into the garden for a couple of hours.

Gardening jobs:
Collected material to make 3 bunches to take to the cemetary
Pruned the Itea - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3136766159714520094 -  and yellow rose - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2448926408332805244 -  most of the prunings going straight into the green bin apart from some short branches which I’ve potted up as cuttings.
Cleaned up the last of the Bramley cooking apples and made compote with our blackcurrants, wild blackberries collected by MrD and some shop bought plums which I'd put in the freezer. Threw all the apple cores and bruised bits under the trees for the birds and other wildlife.

Mark Drakeford, our First Minister, announced his resignation - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-67702232 - I may not agree with his politics but during Covid, and since, I've felt that most of the time he has put Wales first and behaved in a gentlemanly, kind and considerate way - the total opposite of those “leaders” in Westminster …

We’ve been watching Series 4 of The Real Marigold Hotel, so colourful and interesting for a December evening in Wales :-)

Heavily processed Cordyline is today’s emergency Blip …

Love and hugs to all my family XXXX XXX XX

Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
